Hey everyone :)

So I just bought all parts for a new pc, and I was setting it up but Ive just reached a dead end.

Im trying to fit my r6870 in, which seats on the z68 ap-d3 mobo but the backplate wont align with my antec 1200's back panel, so I cant screw it. Any ideas?

Ive taken some pics on my phone and sent them to support on my friend's laptop, so I cant upload them here atm. Just wanted to hear some opinions as im going out of my mind while I wait. Is the backplate on the card faulty perhaps? The backplate fits perfectly between the case and the mobo, but as it goes up it starts inclining away from the case.

Thanks in advance everyone.

The antec 1200 already came with the standoffs placed, and the I/O plate fits perfectly in the back, so I think the motherboard seating isn't a problem

pictures will be here sometime later, asked my mate to upload them here.

As for whether it's catching the back panel, not quite. That's kinda the problem. The indentation of the plate starts aligned between the back panel and the mobo, but as it goes up it moves further away from the case's holes, like it's leaning forward. Except it's not leaning as it's seated on the mobo and the mobo seated on the standoffs and the I/O plate is aligned correctly.

Speaking of standoffs, of the mobo's holes is actually not done, because there isn't a hole in the case for it. It's got the usual parallel 2 by 2 holes totalling 6 standoffs and screws but in the middle on the opposite end of the back it's not screwed due to that lack of hole. Do -all- mobo holes have to be on a standoff/screwed, or is that 1 irrelevant?

Let's hope it's the card and not the case, as I'd have to undo everything.

Regarding RMA, does OCUK arrange collection or is it up to the customer?

do you have another card you can try?

you don't have to boot it up or anything but you can determine if its the card or the case/board tray that is misaligned.
