Hey guys,

I currently have a MSI Radeon 6950 and was wondering would it be possible to run a Nvidia GT430 along side it purely for PhysX / CUDA support?

Is there anyone who would use a setup like this?
Do games / windows understand the two cards and two separate drivers being installed?

Would love a 50 quid solution to enabling PhysX in Batman. :p

ive heard this works although never tried it myself. although my cousin has a crosshair 4 extreme mobo and is running a gtx 560ti and a 6970 using the lucid chip and it performs really well.

Yes it's possible.

You install the Nvidia driver then get the latest physx hack from here:

Your antivirus may flag the files as a virus, it's not though!

Used to use it myself until I went CrossFire.

Nice one, thanks a lot. :)

Rather than the GT430, use the 9800GT instead as it would probably better performance:

GT430 is too slow, even for use as PhysX card in my opinion.

And quieter! You sirs, are scholars, both of you. Much appreciated

Not if it's hacked. If you see in post 2 there's a link to the said hacked drivers for PhsyX ;)

The thing is though OP, is PhysX worth it? Do you even have any games that support it?

Maybe. :) If Arkham City is based on the same tech as Asylum then it won't be possible to run it in PhysX without having the card for it, I don't even know of any others that have it that hard-locked as Batman does. Based on nvidia's tech demo youtube videos, I'd bet money on it being locked again.

And since nvidia seems to be taking over the world soon (their logo is in every game I play in the starting screen, which would lead me to believe the games are developed with/for their chips), could come in handy later. ^^

Also, fun tinkering just as an experiment too. :D

I've ordered it now, will update the thread with how/if/when it's working. :)
