My old HD6850 1Gb card is getting a little long in the tooth and my office has a r7 250 2Gb card sitting around doing nothing so have said I can buy it if it is helpful.

Not sure how much it would be but leaving that out for a minute, is the r7 250 a noticeable jump in performance?

Worth going for?

Will only be on 20 inch 1680 * 1050 display for the foreseeable future.
 
new 250 for about 60£, 2nd hand dont know 20-30£
performance wise i dont think it would be better, my guess it would be the same
