Hey guys, just wondering what the ideal temps for this card seem to be?

My first one when playing a game such as Payday would skyrocket to the mid 80s and the fans would go blazing - clearly bad heatsink contact, so I went and got that RMA'd, even though it would idle in the 30s.

This new one is about 50-55c when playing the same game. Just wondering if this seems ideal now? :) (Obviously a LOT better haha, no more screaming fans, they auto on about 47% at this. Barely able to hear them.)

One more stupid question

Smell a weird smell from the computer... I've only had the card a couple of days. This kind of smell just something normal for a new GPU? Card isn't overheating or anything. Can't really describe it. I just notice it.

Mine smelled when i first got it, settled down now.

Might as well as keep using this thread.

What's the lightning BE clocks? Might as well as OC my one to match it since I doubt I will need to increase the voltage any.

Temps look fine, use afterburner for monitoring temps, gpuz may not read sensors correctly.

Also keep an eye on vrm temps.

Yeah, they all seemed fine to me. Since others are reporting it, these cards just have that new smell. :o

Exactly the same as what happened to mine, it would rocket... sometimes but other times it wouldn't flinch. It would also throttle itself due to overheating got that sent back and replaced... but because it didn't happen all the time under load I would assume it wasn't a heat sink issue?

I get those sort of temps now whilst playing and haven't had a problem with the new one.
