Hi,

I have an R9 270 which currently has one monitor via DVI at 1680x1050. I want a new primary monitor for phot editing, and i'm looking at 4K monitors which would use DP.

Can the R9 270 run two monitors at the same time over different connections and different resolutions? (can Windows 8 for that matter, or do both displays need to be the same res?) I know it can do 4K resolution but i'm not sure with another monitor at the same time?

Shouldn't be a problem. I think it has dp version 1.2 but just make sure because if it's version 1.0 you might be limited to 4k at 30hz. 1.2 will do 4k at 60hz
