So I'm not sure but I'm certain there's an issue with my card or something in my system.

Here's my specs;

AMD FX 4350 Quad Core 4.2
8GB Ram
R9 270x 4GB

Along with an 144hz AOC monitor.

Now here's the issue, when playing BF4 I have my graphic settings set to low since I want the best FPS I can get, I have Mantle enabled but the max FPS I get in-game is 60ish tops and drops to around 40 in heavy areas.

Surely with that card I should be getting higher? Or is it time for an upgrade? I know my CPU is kinda trashy and I'm looking to upgrade this month to an AMD FX8350, would this fix the issue I'm having?

All my drivers are up-to-date as well. :(

Simply put your CPU is bottlenecking that card massively; even upgrading to the CPU mentioned you'll get rid of the bottleneck temporarily however for games nowadays its Intel or nothing. I upgraded my 6950 system awhile ago with an Intel chip and holy moly the difference is simply incredible.

Thought it was, sadly on my budget I can't afford to buy a new mobo and cpu and everything else needed. With the FX option I don't need to buy a new mobo. I've read around about the chip and its getting good reviews.

Cheers for the reply though man.

Not a problem I think you're right that the FX8350 should make your gaming experience a lot better :)

Hope it works out for you.
