Hi guys
ive been having some driver issues with my R9 270x and after doing some research ive discovered that a spare card i have ( gigabyte GTX460 2gb) is not far off in terms of performance to the r9 270x ( http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-270X-vs-GeForce-GTX-460 )
would it be worth giving the GTX460 a spin and how are nvidia,s drivers lately .. i remember a while back they were unstable but that was 2012 ...
any advice
cheers

I would definitely try it. Give it a spin, see what happens. Keep using the card which performs better. Maybe run some tests and keep an eye on performance between the 2 cards.

GPUboss is not an accurate way to judge performance, 270x is twice as fast as the 460, 2gb or not.

Suggest you try and sort the AMD driver issues out or lose huge performance with the 460.

GPUBoss is seldom a useful indicator of anything, it's frequently wrong even on specs. Having said that, by your own link the 270X smashes the 460 so not sure why you think they're close? Yes, the first graphs are close but they're not a measure of anything, further down the performance graphs (see 'Benchmarks') have the 270X miles ahead.

As linked by p5ychonaut though you're better with sometihng like Anandtech's bench comparison. It's not always perfect and things like driver versions can cause results to be inaccurate etc but on the whole it's a reasonable starting point if you want a quick one-stop check especially on older cards where review comparisons are hard to find.
