r9 27o and 3d

I am going to upgrade my monitor and mat get a 3d one so if I get a new r9 270 will this be able to handle a 3d monitor playing fps games such as bf with a good refresh rate ?

or would I be better getting a nvida ?

or do I need to go higher up make your suggestions please .

also what glasses do you use ?

anything else that may help please post also .

R9 270 is not very powerful to begin with and amd 3d isn't as good as 3d vision, fps games really suck in 3d anyway as the image is split and sights go wierd

I would go nvidia for 3d, purely on the basis that amd are said to be dropping 3d support via tridef completely.

I'm sure it was in one of their future plans type talks with some website or other, afaik cut it off to put efforts into other things.

I do remember reading someone at AMD said that 3D was dead and that nobody wanted it. I thought as they didn't ever do 3D and it was outsourced to a 3rd party, they were still not interested and that was it.
