R9 280 problem?

The card works with every game I've tried apart from the witcher 3 where I'd get this error - Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered. - Event ID 4101

I put my old 6850 in and the witcher worked first time. Is my r9 280 broken?

If you are overclocking the card then try at stock speed.
Remove all drivers with DDU and install the latest 15.9.1 beta drivers.

Also could be a problem with the psu, try different power connectors or another psu or test the card in another pc.
