It's HIS280X that I cannot get display,I have replaced old PSU with new that I just purchased "SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold"
I have tested Graphic Card on another system and it works fine.
My old GTX460 works fine with Superflower PSU. So the only thing here is I guess my Motherboard is not compatible or SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply is not good enough for HIS280X which I just cannot belive is the case, from all reviews and searches decent 550w PSU should be good enough.
I'm almost certain now it's my "generic" Motherboard but I was expecting after my GTX460 that was working fine it would support almost now year old Graphic Card 280X. Ah I guess time for new LGA 1155 Motherboard!? getting rather expensive :(

My Motherboard Details
TDP: 95W
Socket type: LGA 1155
Intel H67
ATX
LGA 1155/Socket H2
3 x PCIe 2.0 x1
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16

On this page it says a R9 280X needing 600w

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

It has a R9 280 requiring 550w

For me I think it would have been better to go up and not down. a 750w or 800w.

No expert on these matters though.

Bet you have already taken the card back out and re-fit it making sure ALL connections are sound. Yep you'll have done this.

edit #2

Have you tried the PC with on board graphics ? making sure PC boots up normally.

Well, sort of stuck now is it Motherboard (pretty sure it is) or PSU, but really cannot see that decent PSU like the one I bought even though it's 550W is the problem. Not sure, just frustrating.

Connect your monitor to the on board graphics connection.

Make sure BIOS is set to on board and see what happens.

Would be the first thing I would check.

The Superflower will be fine powering the card, it might be worth checking for a BIOS update, some boards I think one manufacturer was Gigabyte needed the latest BIOS to work with certain cards.
