Please let me know your temps under load (gaming, Furmark etc...) :).

My Asus R9 280X DCII TOP reaches up to 83C when gaming and hits 86C when running the 15-minute Furmark test (fans get fairly loud). I'm still debating if i should RMA it? These results seem a bit poo for a company that boasts about it's DirectCU II coolers.

Cheers

Can you not change the paste on the ASUS cards without voiding warranty? I did that to my 7970 and it dropped temps by about 5-6c. Changed the paste to MX4 and used Brasso on the copper block, polished it to a mirror like finish.

Mine gets up to max 74c (sapphire dual oc) under load!

Is that gaming or benching?

Nope, they have a warranty seal/sticker on one of the screws. What kind of load temps did you get with your 7970 before changing the thermal paste?

is not furmark designed to destroy/fully stress your gfx card ? , it has killed a lot of cards lol

Any card that gets destroyed by a Furmark test is weak/poory made and not fit for purpose imo. I only ran it for 15 minutes and it reached 86C and the fans got quite loud!

Anyone else want to share their 280X temps?
