So I got an R9 290 on Friday and last night it started throwing up black/white artifacts OS wide. I wasn't sure if it was the card or the OS and drivers etc that had screwed up.
So I've reformatted and reinstalled today, still the same thing happening, only before it was OS wide, but now it's just on 3D applications and Firefox and things like that, if you're just on windows it's fine. I've tried it in all the PCI-E slots, tried all the outputs and it does the same thing. Tried different connectors from the PSU.
So I'm thinking that it's borked, not best pleased.
It has been mining litecoin 24/7 since I got it, but never have I let it run out of control so it's constantly throttling or anything, temps have been a consistent 92c with no throttling, the only thing that I've done to it is undervolted it by -44 and -66% via afterburner for maybe a day or two, just to get the temps down a little more so the fan can run a tad quieter.
Do you think undervolting it has broken it or it was just gonna do this anyway? I've underclocked it to 840 core whilst it was being undervolted, so not much was being demaned of it.
Any help would be hugely appreciated, what's the oldest driver that is compatible with the card? I may try that if anyone knows!
Any assistance would be great, it's been a while since I've dealt with finicky highend GPus like this!

Here's a screen shot of it only doing it Firefox and not OS wide, it seems anything that's using much GPU acceleration is getting artifacts or something?
