So, I know AB is limited to +100mv to try and prevent frying of cards. However as the new trixx gets released, they will allow +200mv. To what extent is +200mv on a 290 safe? Both for 24/7 or just for benching? Thanks.

AB can apply any voltage via switches:

Depends on what R9 version you get and how good said individual core clocks whilst cooling said card-be it custom coolers/AIB custom/WC on how much voltage you can run through it whilst keeping the core components cool enough-core/vram/vrms.

My 290(X) cooled by an AC Xtreme can top out@1240/1450MHz@+50% Power Limit/Aux Voltage +100% for BM's while keeping temps in check, haven't tried more voltage as I reckon there is more in the tank for the core, but I'm not one for pushing my gpu's to destruction.

:)
