Can i plz be linked to an Uber Bios for my reference 290.
All the BIOS's i can can find are just the normal one. and the one that's on my card now is locked to 20/30% fan speed. and the Uber is bricked.

My card is a factory OC but i don't care if the bios is stock speeds as long as it lets the fan spin up past 30%.

i cant use after burner because it making a ram problem then stutters when in game.

Pretty sure only the 290X had a Stock (47% fan) and Uber (55% fan) BIOS. The 290 reference cards came with the same BIOS on both - 47% fan.

If you're after simply upping the maximum allowed fan speed on your card, you should be able to do this using the slider on the CCC Overdrive tab - I used to do that and unlocked my fans up to 100%. Neither card throttled and I think the fastest my fans went to were 55%-60% depending on game at 5760x1080.

What card do you have? Are they reference ones or custom cooled ones? If you flash a reference BIOS on a custom cooled card you might find the fans don't spin up quickly enough to keep the card cooled, and I don't think a custom board-ed card would play nice with a BIOS designed for a stock board, but I may well be wrong in my assumption on this.

stock ref board with stock ref coolers, cooler is branded power colour.

i will be taking a look in the CCC Overdrive tab when i get 5, i though it was just core/mem settings not fan's too

Sapphire Trixx for fan control if you can't use AB.

Newest version iirc CTD when saving profiles, might want to try second newest if it hasn't been fixed.

As Stu said i have use CCC and put fans upto 100%, i will test a little latter and see if the fans spin up now.

@ Tommy, i used Trixx on my 7970 and found it to be horrid to use and very buggy. i will have a look at the newer one if the CCC fix dont take affect

Believe it or not, Trixx is better than AB for actual oc'ing on the 290 series imo, the fan curve works as intended though.

i was just coming to give you a big old thumbs up :D, i decided to try it and the card is now sitting @ 55c with 34% fan.

the over clocking part dose not interest me until i have a water block on the card and maybe a second card as there going cheap as chips.
i am just happy to have the card not trying to heat my room.

GPU will be transferring the same amount of heat into the environment all your changing is how efficiently its removed from the vicinity of the GPU.

i mean the inside of my case dont know i said room. with the card been at 90c and the fan running at 20/25% the inside of my case was getting hot now the fan go's upto 55% and max GPU temp was 67c(gaming) the inside of my case is cooler
