So I recently RMA this card for this error:

but yesterday I called ocUK and technical support said it was fine and had passed bench marking tests ect and its on its way back to me... so now I'm wondering is it something else in my computer, I've tested the ram with memtest no errors, I'm wondering could it possibly be a failing ssd?

i7 2600k
hyperx blu ram 16gb
r9 290x windforce
120gb kingston hyperx ram
1300w psu cant remember brand was over £200

DVI to hdmi, can a cable cause this error? Might see if i can get a different cable today and try it

Dodgy cables are known to be the cause of the issues you're getting yes. This would be the first thing I should try to rule out before doing anything else

should have said earlier, this only happens in games not in idle or web browsing. I will try the new monitor cable idea. I've just ordered a DVI to DVI cable.
