R9 290x overclock

Hi all

Ive been reading about overclocking this card and although its not a monster you can get some ok gains.

Ive clocked it to what I want and used trixx with a custom fan profile and although its a tad noisy. It seem ok should I be worried. Temps are just same a standard

Ive got it 1100/1450

Can it be took anymore?

That's a pretty decent overclock to be honest. You might be able to push to 1150/1500 with a few more volts.

You tell us? Mine does 1100/1400 easily. I'd worry more about the core than the memory as you'll get more from the core. At the same time the core overclock will cause more heat, so you'll need a louder fan profile. Changing the thermal paste can make a nice difference with Hawaii cards if you use some quality paste like Gelid.
