Hmm. I'm tempted. Is it better though to get a 290? I'm very out of date on all this :'(

The 290X version isn't really worth the extra? I like the idea of a Crossfire upgrade later so saving a bit is appealing.

Not much performance difference so it does make sense from a financial point of view.

The 7990 went on Ebay for £580+delivery. Replaced with 2x290 Pro (at Xmas) for £560.

Ooh, looks nice. I thought I'd been on since Christmas, guess it's been longer than I thought!

That seems like a pretty good upgrade to be paid £20 for

The carbide 540 makes it really easy. The easiest case ive ever used for cable management.

Don't ask what's it like in the back though, always a bloody mess.

One of the joys of the 540, just bung it all in the back. See that it uses side mounting for the psu too. A godsend ive found in the primo. Very tidy setup Matt.

Maybe mine was just a mess because of tubing, pump/res etc?

Given the case away to a friend now

I'll try and find a picture, don't normally do porn shots of my computers

(only that parvum one, because it was smexy

)

Its definitely messy, don't worry. As its out of sight though what's the point worrying. I have a rule of thumb, as long as it does not affect airflow then who cares. Every little helps on reference coolers. Saw a big drop in gpu temps when i moved to this case from my Corsair 600T.

600T =£160
Carbide = £100

Carbide is ten times better imo. Certainly for airflow/cooling/multi gpu setups anyway.

Ah sod it. I wasn't going to include this picture as i noticed some marks on the side of the case. I may have to try and get Corsair to send me out a replacement panel as they won't come off. Not sure how i never noticed this before now tbh lol.

Oh and i didn't want to come off as an alcoholic, but sweet liquor does ease the pain of life. Also just realised there was a pink shot glass in the other pics. (don't judge me)
