did you experience any artifacts or crashes with the asus r9290x while gaming tommy???

Haven't really played on it yet, my lad abused it yesterday and the only problem he reported was Goat simulator caused a hard reset when he was spamming the **** of goat spawning.

I was thinking that also.

Seems fine so far, it produces more heat inside my case though whereas the GTX 780 pushed it out the back of the cooler. Speedfan locked the fans to 20% though which I thought was weird and wondered why the pc was releasing epic heat when gaming! Turned off speed control for gpu off and now sorted.

It's a nice card.

Years ago I had a 7950, and used that to have 4 monitors for work on.....

2xdvi-d
1xDP
1xHDMI

then I got a nvidia 670gtx and that worked perfectly as well

Now I have a 290x and I cant seem to get it to display on 4 monitors, which is weird because before I installed the 14.7 driver it worked on windows default driver, i tried the non beta driver and same thing the missing monitor is the hdmi cable

Any idea?

the problem was overheating of the vrms and the core itself.
I thought that the card was faulty but then I replaced the vrm thermal pad and
lapped that awful surface of the heatsink and the result is better than expected

can I join the club?

has anyone got a Powercolor Radeon R9 290X PCS+ OC? if so, could you please run 2 benchmarks at stock 1050/1350. Heaven Benchmark 4.0 on Preset = Custom, Mode = 1920*1080 8*AA Fullscreen, Quality = Ultra, Tessellation = Extreme. and 3dmark Fire Strike benchmark.

i just want to know/see if other Powercolor Radeon R9 290X PCS+ OC cards performance slower than other 290x's, because my Powercolor Radeon R9 290X PCS+ OC seems to performance slower than other 290x's.

I've tried everything to improve it.

i tried 14.4, 14.6, 14.7 drivers. also reinstalled windows.

it can't be due to using pcie 2.0, can it?

My 290P PCS+ got 53.5 at stock.

what are the temps on the card while "heavening" gareth???
if it's too high maybe the card throttles.
btw my dcii 290x scores only 51 fps so you are fine i think.
are you sure that the other results you saw are heaven and not valley??

between 63 - 67c it never goes over 68c

those are great temps!!! i get 80c with a custom fan curve from gpu tweak.
