but when i had a Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC before i rma'd it 2 times, it performance better at same clock speeds

on stock settings yes. but if i up the power limit to +20 the clocks stay stable all the time.Yeah that's slower than a reference 290. Something is definitely wrong. Is it throttling on the power limit?

If the Vapor X uses the same cooler as Tri-X how do they justify such a big price increase? Is it just because of factory OC?
i did a 3dmark test has single card vs crossfire and the results look about right, even tho the gpus usage are all over the pace so i don't understand how it's performing has it should on performance.

Enable unified gpu usage monitoring in afterburner if you want a more consistent readout of gpu usage.
