R9 290X Owners Thread

Looks like even with the max volts supplied by GPUTweak I can't exceed 1200Mhz without getting artifacts. Temps are always fine tho (under water), never seem to exceed 57c.

I've taken the ram to 5900 and everything still seems rock stable, the VRMs got to 72c tho. New 200mm case fan arriving tomorrow with double the CFM of my current one so I am hoping to bring that down before pushing further. Stock volts for the vram is 1V on these? I can't change the volts anyway.

How does this GPU run the game? is it smooth? whats the FPS like?

It was made for Bf4 so does it play it >D?

That would be cool but we can't even download the game yet, so how is it possible to play BF4 if we can't even download it, let alone unlock it....
 
Received my 290x earlier! (Gigabyte BF4 edition) thanks to the guys at overclockers.

Loving it, Bf3 is so smooth its unreal, a huge gain from my HD 6950 2GB lol.

Roll on Bf4!
 
Grrrr, that will teach me to buy the game from Origin. Seems I can't even get to download it from them, even with spoofing grrrrr :(
 
Even If I wanted 290x none bf4 I cannot get yet as no stock so may as well wait to see 290 price
 
I wish I could wait for stuff, just couldn't help myself haha.

Someone mentioned 70fps on BF4 earlier, I'd be happy with that.
My 6950 could barely keep 30fps on BF4 beta, was a total nightmare.
