R9 290X Owners Thread

Getting heaven 4.0 and will test firestrike extreme aswell plus i will try to overclock it to 290x standards.

in afterburner my gpu stays @ 100% don't know why :confused: nothing is on

*edit* seems to be gpu-z...

Quick question got mine running at 1125 core and memory at 1400 getting a firestrike score of 9600 in 3dmark. is this ok ? Also i still cant adjust the voltage.

Also i have 2 monitors, i like to have 1st as the main gaming screen and the 2nd one running on the desktop with cpuz and GPU details but every time i play a game or benchmark is just goes to a black screen? any ideas what the setting is to change this ?

Not sure, but I'm getting 10499 on lower clocks! (1100/1375)
 
well mine went back and got refunded since it didn't work but gotta say in the couple of hours it did work is was a blazing card. And ocuk your staff work FAST return handled perfectly

Can anybody give me a reason to keep my 290X, what with the 780 price drops, 780 Ghz edition and 780 Ti due out soon? It's still unopened.

Pretty annoyed that we had about 2 hours to read reviews and decide if we wanted it or not after pre-ordering. Had to make a rushed decision on the way to work.

At 1080p/60Hz I cannot tell the difference between a 7970Ghz, 780 GTX or 290x without using synthetic benchmarks.

All three cards give a perfectly smooth experience in BF4.

Personally I would return it and give it a few weeks for all the cards to be out and then make a more informed decision.
 
Can i ask how people are getting 1200 core and 1500 on the memory? the best i can get is 1100mhz core 1400mhz memory at stock? Any higher and mine starts to go all funny. Using MSI 3.0.0 beta whats voltage locked ? is there any other version whats voltage unlocked

Beta 8 is ****e, 2 mins of playing bf4 and it crashes. Not no problems with Beta 7. Mem clocks still always stuck at max speed with nothing open. FFS
