Edit - Max 50% fan speed stops my GPU throttling completely and doesn't sound too bad.

Well I managed to get my hands on a BF4 edition one.

Only ordered it Monday , got it Wednesday while I was at work  (Was like a chiled when I got in :D)

Not bad considering there supposed to be hard to get now.

VTX3D is the brand, surprised OC never stocked them tbh!

Was in 2 minds with this brand, never had owt to do with them nor heard of them till recently , but thought that seen as its a reference card it dont really make a great difference.

But at £412 seemed a no brainer.

Anyone on here had VTX3d branded cards?

On a side note , the difference between my 5870 and this is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge

Just running another test to see if turning off my second screen (thus dropping the memory to 150mhz at idle) helps with the idle temperature.

65C does seem high when the sites like ANandtech were reporting ~40C

5870, is that like a 6950? yeah, it should be 3 times as fast.

Edit, i have a powercolor 7870XT, VTX3d and powercolor are exactly the same maker, why. need help?

Not until I read in the other thread about second screens causing memory to go full bore!

Didn't expect that much difference either! There's a fella here who is only watercooling his core and not the memory...If I were him I'd get a water block!

No, dont need any help was just wondering if anyone has had/got one.

tbh I was a bit sad to see my trusted 5870 go! (Well till I tried a few games :D)

With regards the mem clock going up when you attach another monitor my 5870 has always done this. As in I have the TV connected via HDMI. As soon as its switched on it maxis the clocks. Have to disable it for it to go down.
