Again, for what it's worth, black screen is sporadic and happens to me in all driver versions. Running the BIOS that came with my Sapphire card.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Gibbo: Is there any chance you could ask OCUK contacts at AMD if this black screen is a real thing? Here are the links again:

If it's a known issue that does not need the card RMAing, i'm happy to wait, but i'd really like to know. I understand their are politics at play, but the vast, vast majority of customers would happier with transparency and upfrontness, if there is a issue.
Perhaps we are just a vocal minority with awful systems, but i really dont think so.
Im not the only one with black screens? I only get them with the ASUS bios though when i turn aroun quickly in Valley for example.
Rangerjr1 yes i got asus bios flash. Sapphire one is unusable due to memory clock jumping from 150 to 5000 all the ****ing time. And card is crashing eventually...
But i had no black screens at all before beta 9.2 drivers...
Thanks, VRM state/id/location seem to be pretty similar to mine R290 (Hawaii PRO Press Sample).
You can alter voltage on it even with current MSI AB beta by sending commands to VRM via MSI AB command line:
To set +100mV offset:
MSIAfterburner.exe /wi4,30,8d,10
To restore original voltage:
MSIAfterburner.exe /wi4,30,8d,0
Use it at your own risk

Ive not tried this myself.

I did this guys, just add " /wi4,30,8d,10 " on target of a MSI AB .exe shortcut. You'll get 100mv extra, thats it. Powerstates still work. I would say its safe. Just dont touch the numbers or letters. You dont want 2v lol
Well, I've just tried this and it works fine. 100mv got me around another 100MHz. Temps barely moved... Though I am using watercooling
well 100mv is fine for me too, but an extra 200 (Once you cross 1.35v before vdroop) I start getting black screens when i put the card under load.
Could you lower your memory below 1400 say 1350 or 1375(or set it default) and then use the same core and voltage that would cause the blacksceen. And see if it still crashes.
it never crashes, its just like i unplugged the DVI. Its weird. And no, lowering the memory doesnt help. Memory runs 1625 flawlessly.
