Dear Sir
Suggest you update motherboard bios, chipset driver to the latest version. Please also update game patch and AMD application profile driver for your card. Should be software issue. Check this way. Thanks.
Regards

very informative from sapphire on the blackscreen issue lol.

Forgive me if it seemed i was implying that they weren't 290X, wasn't the case at all.

It just confused me as to what it was, looks incredible though well done!

Kaapstad not sure but for 4 He needs 2. Or one 2000w :D
I was doing some stability testing yesterday and. Card was pulling 380 watts according to GPUz.
So 4 would pull up to 1600 watts themselves.

That was why I was asking, when I get mine up and running I will be using 2 x 1200w PSUs.:D

I have to wait until the end of next week before I can get my hands on a new RIVE black edition to put the cards in.

Not had much time to test as working till Thursday, once done will give my hole draft of games a blast, Arma 3 works fine, will try different fan profiles (> 47%) to see if that improves it.

(lol just released this is the 290X owners thread)

Well after a failed Linux Lite 1.0.6 install, now have a fresh W7P 64 running, and fished out the other PCI-E power cable for my PSU to have two separate rails running. The R9 290 is now playing ball, no black screens etc.

Lets hope it keeps going.

You fixed you black screen by making sure the 8-pin and 6-pin are on different rails, or did i read that incorrectly?

I think someone here http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=4700937#post4700937

...claims to have fixed it by setting the fan speed to 100%, even though this doesn't change his temps.

I give up.

The fact that everyone is now getting the BF4 key = lol, it's like the universe has designed this launch to progressively enrage me on points of principle.

I got question.
Can anyone on water run Furmark 15 minute burn in test and tell me what was hes highest VRM temperature ??
I redid my loop last night. Everything is having proper contact. Thermal pads got MX4 on both sides ect. Max temperature i seen was 98c on VRM1 of card overclocked and passed around 25 minutes of furmark 1080p. Its rock solid.
I think its just impossible to cool those more. Heat blowing from radiator was quite interesting. Even fan in my PSU was on high revs :D

BTW. I only use Furmark to melt tim down and see max temperature.. Same for IBT on CPU.

Don't worry about me guys, the Lepa G 1600 will be enough for stock gaming. I have a EVGA Supernova 1000G2 just for my benching sessions. (4 x 290x stock is enough to run 8044x1440)

So 2600watts for benching (on two different 15amp breakers of course)

:D
