R9 290X Owners Thread

As much as I love my 290x, I'm getting the urge to want to rip-out the stupid crappy Elpida memory and dump them down the shredder...it can't overclock for sheet without blackscreening other than in benchmarking software :mad:

Gains from overclocking the memory in games will be tiny, so i wouldn't worry about it too much. Have you tried tweaking Aux voltage when clocking the memory?

Orangey we really need a R290 Pro members club. I know you did a thread. How about adding a roll of honor/pic of each persons card to the OP like Kaap has done in this one?
 
Think I may go for this card myself in the new year as I can get it tax free. Take it I should expect a good step up from a 7950? I had been thinking about getting one of the new consoles, but nothing seems to stand out on them for me at the moment, so thinking of putting money else where.

Looking to change 'home made' VRM1 heatsink to a Thermalright HR-09(S) and the Corsair 120's that came with the Kuhler to some SP120's as have to run them on about 50% at the moment since loud.

At the moment run Furmark 1080P 15min burn in test:
65C max core
80C VRM1
running 1120/1450 @+50mv
