So, it is as expected, the stock air cooler AMD designed was not good enough but under water and everything is just dandy.

I will give it ago. I have only ever overclocked Nvidia cards with locked volts. How do you use the volts? Just bump them when it starts crashing? ALso is 1.4v safe?

People are using 1.4 on air so i would imagine it's safe on water. The problem i see people having is even when setting 1.4v the core is sometimes only receiving 1.3 and below.

1.4v max temp is 51 degrees. I am getting more than enough FPS without overclock. You think I should just got for it or stay as i am

Do some runs at 1.4 to find out your max stable clocks. Run some benches then whatever clocks you want to use adjust the voltage to suite. If you don't need the extra performance just drop back to the max oc on stock volts.

Are you guys getting to 1300Mhz? Anyone got a 3DMark Firestrike Extreme score near 6100? (The supposed score of the new 780ti).

Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition Processor @4.8

That's the best score on here so far. Was done by Kaapstad

AMD doesnt give you 1.4. MSI AB and conventional trixx only supports 1.3, and so does GPU Tweak on normal cards except for dc2 and matrix.

Only Trixx 4.4.0b mod will let you do 1.384v.

(Talking from a 7970 owners standpoint, not sure about 290x)
