It doesn't use the cable or fingers anymore to crossfire this is all done through pci-e bus. Its much smoother this way compared to the old way. 390 can do up to quad crossfire.

The OP is behind with the times. They did away with the crossfire bridge cable when the 200 series was released.

Forget about the idea of going crossfiring the 390 completely, unless you are going to upgrade your CPU to something faster than the FX6300, or running at higher res than 1920.

i dont buy intel.. i dislike intel...
the only reason i had a core 2 quad, was because i got given it a few years back..

ive seen people crossfiring good cards, on AMD FX chips, yealding good results..
whats wrong with AMD chips?

ive also seen AMD chips overclocked and giving very similar results to a 3570k on stock speeds..
But if i had a 3570k stock, people would say its fine to CF with it, but an AMD chip thats overclocked to give same results, Isnt?
i dont understand.

ive ran CF 5870's on an Athlon II 640 Quad Core. With no noticeable issues.
with GPU's 100%ing

Where to start :p

Run hot, not as efficient as Intel, slower, more power hungry.....
