I have had a strange problem with my graphics card MSI R9 390 and has happened a few times now.. only once a month or so.

I turn the computer on and nothing shows on the monitor.
Removed all devices and still the same. Error code A9 shows on the motherboard.

I have fixed this problem by removing the R9 390 Graphics card, booting up with internal motherboard graphics (works fine), then shutting down, plugging the R9 390 Graphics card back in and booting up. Works just fine after this.

I am just wondering what would be causing this?
As far as I can see, I have the latest drivers and bios.

Appreciate any advice.

Regards
Nick

Yeah it happens now and again on 290s too, i dunno if its a driver problem win 10 problem or both, when it happens to me i just hold f8 on boot and load safemode then run DDU and then reinstall drivers which also cures it.

I recently went back to win 7 just to make sure and it doesnt happen there so i suspect its somthing about how win 10 loads that it doesnt like.

I think i saw someone mention it on the AMD driver thread, im guessing theyre looking into by now.
