R9 Fury X - leaking internal pipe

Hi guys, I took apart my R9 Fury X to clean the fan, the unit is 6 years old and needed some cleaning.
When i opened up the watercooling compartment, I noticed the output pipe was not secured well at all, it came apart in my hand. I Assume the piping had corroded and was brittle but not enough to prohibit water flowing.

I now wonder if you can help me with a solution to this issue. Do I get a half inch soft pipe and cable tie it to the unit (after refill), get a new AIO cooler or buy a custom heatsink for the card and go the custom loop route?

I generally use air cooling as I have two small children and there was a near miss episode with a custom loop a few years ago, my brother built an XL ATX machine with fan controller on the front and my daughter turned the pump off while I was at work, the pipes overheated and leaked everywhere, narrowly avoiding the components.

I am hoping to resurrect this card cooler as when I try to use the onboard ports my PC will not boot and flashes the VGA failure on its EZ LED display, it says to clear the CMOS with a cap in the manual but I don't seem to have one, I assume the system is searching for my dedicated graphics card, or the onboard chip is not working (or my cpu ryzen 1600 does not have integrated gaphics?) If i do end up getting a new card I'm looking for anything with 8GB VRAM as ubisoft like to whine about requirements

Please help!

I would not rely on cable ties to hold a watercooling loop together [although I have done before in a pinch], if its a the thin cabletie, theres more chance its going to cut thru the pipe as you tighten it. Some cheap miniature pipeclips from ebay or a carparts store should work though, depending on the size of the barb the pipe connects to.

1600 doesn’t have an integrated gpu so it won’t boot without a card.

Wouldn’t bother going full custom loop because of a broken fury, just get a new card and sell it as spares, someone will buy it.

Get the 590 for 109.99 deal

I also wouldnt be buying a new AIO or block for a Fury X, you could pick up equivalent performance in a newer card now for probably the same price as resurrecting this one.

Thank you for all the help everyone, ive gone for the 590 as replacing the liquid and buying pipeclamps and tubing to fix the AIO may cost a few bob and isnt guaranteed to be safe, £110 is a brilliant deal for a 590 and the average performance is better, plus its 8GB not 4GB like the Fury X! I'm currently studying computer engineering so I may be more confident with modding and use the old card for a project in the later half of my studies (on foundation year currently)

At least I can get my assignments written this week now.

If you sell the game codes and the fury x you probably won’t be that far off the £110 outlay :)
