R9 Nano Review thread

The lack of reviews in here and increase in non relevant posts just goes to show you how poor the release of the Nano has been.

Someone actually bought one? Well happy you like it, but the phrase "more money than sense" comes to mind:)

Depends on your perspective really, I could say the same for someone who goes on an expensive holiday or buys a posh car (purely examples) ..... However I don't because I believe in each to their own......

An expensive holiday can give you some life experiences you'd never otherwise have and an expensive car gives you prestige and a great ride.

The AMD nano gives you NONE of that. Literally zero.

A Nano can provide you with building an ultra small formfactor PC, a life experience you wouldn't otherwise have. Owning a unique card also gives you some prestige... And maybe not a ride unless you're playing Assetto Corsa on it :)

If it provides him with the experience he was hoping for then it was worth the money for him.

What anyone else thinks is irrelevant.

I do wonder how silent it will be under load with the sides on the case but that's another story.

People don't have to justify their purchases on this forum, there's no reddit-like hivemind to answer to.

Although it seems that may be changing.

Won't lie a setup "something" like:

Is quite tempting (I HAVEN'T checked the setup for compatibility - none the least I don't have a lot of experience with mini/micro atx setups - so don't go buying it based on that and the killer NIC on the motherboard is a bit of a downer for me and the AIO was chucked in as my first choice isn't in stock).

You see this is the thing. That case will fit a 980Ti, and you can pick up a custom cooled 980Ti for £485 from OCUK right now. You would be mad to buy a Nano for £30 more.

But why a Nano when faster cards also fit in the case?

EDIT: Like Jono said a 980ti, Or a Fury X or even a Fury which is faster, quieter and 100 quid cheaper.
