Just looked a techpowerup.com to find RaBIT, a radeon bios editor has been released with x1000 (R520+) support.
Download here
To obtain the .rom image file from your cards flash rom, download ATi's own winflash utility from here .
Allows you to edit the rom file and change voltages and clock speeds.
Due to being lazy and the lack of any 100% clocking software (ATi Tools ability to randomly make VPU recover kick in and not artifact, ATi Tray Tools unsupport of r520+ GPU's, and Overdrives, ATi Overclocker's memory timing changing) I have not yet found a safe and 100% stable clock for my X1800XL but I will be doing so over today and then creating my own bios.
You can flash your modified bios using winflash also.
However, as a safe step I would recomend saving your original bios to a bootable floppy with an Autoexec.bat file written to force flash your card incase things go **** up.
