" Demo coming for all the non-handheld formats

Codemasters has announced that a playable demo of Race Driver: GRID will be released next week, offering 3 events to compete in. The eBay Motors Muscle Cup sees you taking the wheel of a ford Mustang GT-R and the streets of San Francisco, the Advan International Trophy hands you a Nissan S15 Silvia and your playground is Yokohama Docks, and the Euro Touring Car Series provides some old-school tin-top thrills with a BMW 320si touring car and the sweeping curves and hairpins of Jarama. You’ll also have the opportunity to use the console versions of the demo to win an amazing prize. More details when the demo comes out. "

I will prob pre-order just to get that shiny Aston Martin DB9 to play with. Looks like a nice game, am well looking forward to it....

....just gotta do my exams first

That looks the nuts! Definitely gonna get this.

I had a hand in building that DBR9 so it'll be nice to have a blast round in that. :)

awesome :)

will play the demo rather than pre-order..

hoping it's at least *slightly* arcadey :D

why would it?
you really think that pirates won't try the demo and still opt to download the full product for nothing rather than pay?

I'm sure that hardcore pirates won't be affected but it maybe takes away a little of the temptation to download illegally a game that you just want to try out. I would think like that anyway.

If I like a game from the demo then I'll buy it. A few times I've bought a game when a demo's not available and been disappointed and felt that I've wasted my money on something that I couldn't try out first. I wouldn't buy any clothes without trying it on first.

What he said. Its the try before you buy option. Games are expensive.
