wandered down to the Race For Life in Bute park (Cardiff) on Wednesday. The whole event had a very fun atmosphere, and it was generally enjoyable to shoot.
I stuck to keeping lenses on bodies for ease. So all these shots were on my D70 w/ 85mm F/1.8 - but I also shot a ton of very wide 35mm ~ It'll take me a couple of weeks to get those processed and scanned, though.

The whole gallery can be found here. Here's a few favourites, though :

Cheers for the comments.
I see what people are saying about lopping off their legs, but I did try both full body and... Not full body shots, and much preffered these. If they had been runners then it would be different, but these are just normal people running far further than they're used to - that's a real challenge to them, and as such I was just more interested in capturing their faces and moods than anything else :)

Number one is a friend :)

Didn't really see any other photogs there. There was a dude with a D200 & 18-70, and another guy with a 350D, but that was it :o

I was also in the way of the cameraman who was there for the local news - so the local news footage was mostly me. Whoops!
