What good racing games are out there if you want to use a steering wheel?

Any recommendations on steering wheels?

Depends what kind of racing you like (sim/arcade)

I'd recommend the logitech g25 if you've got a lot of money to spend and if you'd be playing a lot. I've used that and the logitech momo wheel which is great as well.

As for games, i couldn't put GT Legends down!

Hi, thanks, they both appear a bit pricey - know anything cheaper - I am not concerned with pedals, also joy pads for racing games?

If your not bothered about pedals then theres no point in having a wheel really. As far as joypads are concerned, I'd go for a 360 pad.

Xbox 360 pad, either wired or wireless - up to you. Overclockers sell em I think. Failing that, most high street shops that sell games/hardware probably do too.

Quality pads and good for driving games because of the analogue triggers.

I'm not sure if its just me but i have a wired 360 pad and the left analogue stick isn't "true" compared to my wireless one. And when i went over to a mate house his wireless pad he bought had the same problem. Games like need for speed pro street don't have controller options like dead zone etc. so the car veers to the left all the time which is annoying!! I'm on vista 64 and can't seem to find any software to correct this!

Anyways - yeah a 360 pad is great.

Games wise, Live For Speed, no argument IMO.

As for wheels, I dont know, ive read nothing but good things about the G25, but its damn pricey.

If your not bothered about pedals i wouldnt bother, jsut buy a decent gamepad.

I rate the logitech dual action over most pads cant be doing with xbox 1 or xbox 360 pads the ps2 pad is still the best design and logitech is basicaly that but made better with more ruggid quality.

xbcd drivers instead of vanilla m$ drivers, allow manual setting of deadzones in its little utility interface

XBCD drivers are the best for 360 and standard XBox controllers. The MS ones suck big time!

My favourite features of it are the deadzones and allowing each trigger to control a different axis which makes it great for racing sims.

Sony need to swallow their pride and put the left analogue stick in the right place, but even thats better than the Logitech Dual Action. It has the worst d-pad ever - and no analogue shoulder triggers. The Chillstream one they do isnt bad but thats basically a 360 pad anyway.

analogue shoulder buttons rarely work properly i have found and wear out incredibly fast if you use them a lot could never get my xbox 1 pad to analogue accelerate.

Aint had much experience with the xbox1 pad tbh, but I've been using the 360 pad for over a year now and never had any probs (/touches wood).
