Hello.

Im not a massive PC gamer. Usually play xbox360 due to most of my mates being on there.

Im looking for a racing game that will test my gtx460 graphics card that can be bought through steam. I have recently bought race07 and really like it but would like something a little more harsh on the graphics card in order to test mine out :)

Any recommendations?

I don't think there really are any until pcars comes out.
most sims have fairly simple graphics because they aren't what's important.

We don't really have anything like forza the closest thing is shift 2

Not a sim but shift 2 looks good with a few mods or you could always try assetto corsa there's a preview out if you buy netkar pro which is only £6 at the moment.

Grid 2 graphics are excellent in that. More arcade racer though.
Rfactor 2 is behind on the graphics but great force feed back.
I think the demo of Asseto corsa is out looks well.
F1 2013 has great graphics.
Pcars has good graphics but the subs are finished on that.
Burnout has good graphics also.

I think Shift 2 will be enough to test a 460 with if not Grid 2 will defiantly use all the pixel pushing power available.

Oki. I did go on systemrequirements website and it seems to pass the recommended for each game ive tried apart from devil may cry.

I have tried Far Cry, Crysis etc...

A 460 is still a capable card but if you start turning the settings up in newer games it will struggle. Battlefield 3, Crysis 3, Tomb Raider to name a few will push the 460 at higher settings.

If you download MSI afterburner you'll be able to see the fps your games are running at and adjust the settings accordingly you want to keep at about 60fps. You can also overclock your graphics card with afterburner if yours is supported.

Oki. I do have gadget too which shows me the GPU/CPU temps :)

GRID 2 is really good, and you feel quite immersed in the game!

My fave car so far is the Subaru BRZ aka Toyota GT86!
