I have not played any PC racing games for many years due to my steering wheel packing up. Are there any good games on the PC that are playable with a gamepad. I am looking for something like Forza which is no simulation yet the cars feel and sound good. I also need in-car driver view as it adds to immersion.

Thanks for the info. I have been following project cars on this forum and was under the impression it was geared up for a steering wheel. Have you played it with a gamepad and how was it? I would only play singleplayer because I sort of suck at driving games even though I enjoy them.

Most arcade/crossover racers are playable offline on gamepad e.g. Grid/Dirt/NFS games. Something like Shift 2 might fit the bill.

loads of people play it with an xbox controller.

I used to play Race 07 with a gamepad on multiplayer, I found it worked ok.

I wasn't winning races but think it was just down to my driving skill rather than the tools being used.

I've since got myself a wheel and I haven't improved much!
