Just noticed this New Series starting Tonight BBC Two 8pm

Tonight is Stirling Moss. Episode 1 of 3

Hollywood actor Sir Patrick Stewart tells the enthralling story of Sir Stirling Moss's glittering race career. The pair travel to Florence in a classic Gull Wing Mercedes to retrace the route of Italy's most famous road race, the Mille Miglia, and discuss how Stirling's near-fatal crash may have been the best thing that ever happened to him. Yet how will Sir Patrick cope with the raw power of the era when he drives a 1957 Formula 1 car at the scene of Stirling's historic British Grand Prix victory?

Yeah I was lucky enough to see it was on just before Dad's Army finished. Really enjoyed it. Stirling Moss is a character.

Amazing how brave they were back in those days. Not to say they aren't brave now but back then it was on a different level.

I liked the way Stirling pointed out his Carbon Fibre made Lift from Williams F1 :D

Just had a quick look online, seems Colin McRae is the third one (presented by Chris Hoy). I couldn't find out when it's going to be shown though, would have thought tomorrow but doesn't seem to be the case.

Just finished watching the Jackie Stewart Episode, another cracking show, very emotional.

i did a bit of searching to find out when its on, the best answer i can find is it will be on "soon" Apparently there are some on going legal issues(no info on what these are though).
very frustrating! The McRae episode was the one i was most looking forward to:(

Very much enjoyed this again tonight. Great little series.

It's annoying not knowing when the last episode will be shown.

Was good, may have been even better without the dim-witted Chef though. To much about the hapless celebs and not enough on the racers or their history.

Just a reminder that the Colin McRae episode in on BBC Two & BBC HD tonight at 10pm.

Olympic hero Sir Chris Hoy tells the story of Britain's first-ever World Rally Champion, Colin McRae. Along with Colin's father, Jimmy, himself a five-time British Rally Champion, Sir Chris visits the scenes of Colin's greatest rally driving triumphs.

From exploring Colin's roots as a Scottish trials bikes champ to driving the route of the Dakar rally over the dunes of the Sahara desert, Sir Chris will re-live McRae's career and be trained to drive sideways by another big fan - American Rally Superstar Ken Block. Sir Hoy's final challenge will be to swap his push bike for a monster Subaru Impreza world rally car on a rough and ready stage of the RAC Rally, the home of Colin's famous 1995 victory.
