I've been using a modified G25 for a while (GTEYE spring in the pedals and a proper alcantara wheel).

As good as it is, I've just received a few quid and thought I might treat myself to the Thrustmaster T300 Ferrari GTE wheel that's around the corner.

Problem is, it comes with crap pedals, so I've got a couple of choices...

I either buy a Leo Bodnar cable to use my G25 pedals on their own or I get myself the Fanatec CSR Elite Pedals.

So, has anyone got experience of the Fanatec pedals that can suggest how much of an upgrade they are over the Logitech ones?

Obviously buying the Fanatec pedals cost a little more, but I'm happy to shell out if they're worth it and I could potentially sell the G25 if I'm not using the pedals.

Ta.

You could look at a set of ECCI pedals (not cheap though). I might have a set I may want to get rid of :-)

Be aware though that a number or lower level racing 'games' don't support two devices as input for steering and pedals.

Andi.

I made my own pedals following the plans bought from Todd Cannon though from what I've read on the iRacing forum he's disappeared along with the money for people's pedals he didn't get round to building.

They work very well and weren't too hard to build.

Hmmm, I'd be interested in building my own. How much did the parts cost?

I recently finished making my own shifter from a BMW automatic shifter, works beautifully and cost me 99p + a few quid postage from eBay.

It was probably somewhere around £150, the most expensive bits being the load cell, pots and control board, though I could also have saved a bit of money by completely converting the plans into metric as I got stung for customs duty on some imperial size parts that I could only get from the US.

That's pretty reasonable. Any chance you could send me the plans?

Any photos of the finished article? I don't ask much, do I? :)

i got the Fanatec CSR Elite Pedals, while better than the pedals with my logi dfp, i was disappointed with them, adjustment of the pedals is a pain and the accelerator spring was to weak for my liking, would have preferred it to match the clutch.
