Racing Sim for drifting

There's drifting in NFS Shift, but I found it near impossible to get any kind of drifting going with a steering wheel. It might well be much more playable with an Xbox 360 controller.

Live For Speed is a few years old now but still one of the most natural feeling for drifting, there's even drift servers still alive.

Live For Speed is your best bet for drifting, assetto corsa will have a dedicated drift mode as well when its released.

lol at Forza, Grid 2 and Shift being mentioned in a thread for racing sims.

Live for speed does sound good.

Ile wait till next pay day though. (2 weeks). Ive already bought the race07 dlc, iRacing for 3 months, GTR2. Enough games for this month. As as a new pc chair and secondary monitor lol.

Is Live For Speed a subscription game?

some people can drift in pcars although it's not out yet and has no actual drift mode and likely never will.
I think these video are from before some big physics fidelity changes that happened in the replays
there was a video of 2 guys drifting together really well much better than these videos but I don't seem able to find it

My cousin plays live for speed for the drifting and he's competing in the BDC this year so i 'd be inclined to go for that.

Pretty much all I did in GRiD 1 was drifting, after completing the main game and CM pulled the multiplayer

I here the physics of GRiD 2 are pants compared to the first

NFS Shift
Shift 2 Unleashed

Both are great driving games IMO and have drifting. They need a little tweaking/couple of mods to boost their visuals but are so much better than that Grid crud.

Grid and Grid 2 have drift sections - tho I found both games to have rather poor wheel support :( personally found the first one the better game but I've never got it working properly with any wheel I have access to which ruins half the experience (basically every steering wheel I tried had very little granularity ingame with the steering - its like it only has 5 positions - full lock left/right, slightly left/right and center).

Without a shadow of a doubt Live for speed. Theres two cars perfect for drifting One is a road going rx7 and anotehr a race version with around 450bhp so once you learn the street version. Which is a front mounted rear wheel drive litre turbo the base setup of most drifters.

Out of all the sims I've played the physics in the game give the best real world feel of a drift.

Grid need for speed or any arcade crap will just be that.

You Also have the lx4 and lx6 basically westfield catherm clones.

The biggest plus auto track you can create your own drift course with cones.

Video says it all really

Ditto, I used to drift damn near everything in GRID.

GRID 2 is utter carp in comparison tbh, The physics is screwed.
