Hi guys, after a bit of advice.

I had to get rid of my old sim rig at the old house due to space issues, now we have moved I would like a new setup.

I have a budget of around £2k and I wouldnt mind getting a second hand gaming PC in it for that. Any recommendations on where to look, any suggestions on kit?

Is it worth me buying new steering wheel/pedals and a second hand chassis, or all second hand?

Help is appreciated! :D

Hi
I have the next level Racing full rig setup, It does take quite a bit of space but its rock solid.
I also have the thrustmaster TS PC wheel base that i got from OcUK and the Fanatec Clubsport shiffter V1.5

Got everything new about a year ago, Me i always by new for warranty..Upto you tho

I'm in the same sorta position so I've followed for advice on the side, I don't mind buying the chassis second hand but probably buy the wheel and peddles new so I know how much they've been used,
Looking at the next level also it looks solid, or gt omega art or the playseat evolution but the first 2 look more solid.

Its difficult to recommend anything without knowing what your budget/ requirements are. I mean you can get an entry level steering wheel and wheel stand for around 200 quid. Or you could pick up an older PC and splash the cash on the sim rig?

What are your priorities? I would suggest getting the PC first, then wheel setup and finally think about what rig you can afford with the remaining cash.

Yeah, If the PC is for sim racing only could maybe save some money building a "recommended graphics" PC going by the most demanding game you'll play

As above, I’d spec the PC first as there’s huge range in price of wheels and stands/rigs whereas a PC is a pretty fixed cost based on the recommended specs for the games you want to play.

Contrary to Ur round next above, if you have the budget for a stand like that I would be looking at 8020 extruded aluminium rigs. I got my SimLab GT1 Evo rig and a cheap MX5 seat for less than some of the NLR stands. With an 8020 rig being stronger, more customisable and future proof.

The only problem is a lot of 8020 rigs come from Europe so with import duty and taxes probably makes them considerably more expensive then when I bought mine.

Just looking around near me, someone has this for sale brand new, £1129. Expensive or about right?
