Racism on Xbox Live

@ Knives - not when Ive been playing

@ Kreeee - I would think the majority of people that bought the orange box, have a pc that can run it, and have a mic and headset and actively talk on TF2 made their own pc's

I didn't think about the mic and headset point, but the majority of people who I know that play the orange box do so on a low spec pre made PC.

Ok point taken, but everyone I know that plays TF2 on the pc made their own - anyway its quite a trivial matter :p
You of all people should know about the crap that goes on over Halo's voice chat, its that bad its gotten to the point where I just mute all players in the game except for my mates before the match starts!

Picked on you? I assume you mean replied to your post. The reason I 'picked on' you is because you claimed that playing TF2 on your PC requires you to build a PC, in what way is that true exactly? It is no more difficult to get online on Halo on a 360 than it is to get online on TF2 on a PC, your comment is just silly.

Tonight me and me m8 where called a Scottish w@#:KER
and he was going 2 hunt me down and stab me and my family 2 death
all because we stabbed him on cod4

so i reported him 2 xboxlive what can they do -- ???

something really needs to be done about this a bloody joke so it is

Well everyone on here gave yewen negative feedback and he got banned from matchmaking so it does work :p

It's nothing to do with complaints tallying up. MS have a team specifically for dealing with the complaints, every single complaint is seen and noted. From their point of view they can't just take complaints at face value, but if they receive 10 completely seperate complaints for the same person about the same thing, then that is the type of case where they can act.

No single complaint could ever get someone banned, but I think it's safe to say once a **** always a ****, if people continue to abuse others then they will be dealt with at some point.

There was an interview about this on Major Nelsons podcast, can't remember which one. At a guess I'd say it was a couple of months back.
 
i mute loads of people now, but this happens on every single game i play online where i use a headset

Not just racism i just mine random shouting and whatever. wh
 
Never had a problem. most of the time it's yanks and a dead cat can out smart them in a slagging match.

Had one particular smacktard this week who in a game of domination said he would look after C while everyone got the other points. We were being totally whupped by the other team who were pretty damn good. Said team mate was literally screaming like he had been violated from behind about how he always gets stuck with the jewish team mates.

We lobby up and he starts explaining to the other team they only won because he got stuck with jews. It was kinda nice when the other team explained to him he had 3 kills and 30+ deaths and was bottom of the pile. He said nothing and left.

I always file a report for those people now, there was a piece in one of the xbox mags how microsoft are acting and cleaning up from reports filed. They only get a 48 hour ban but it's enough to make these idiots think.

If your playing in a group it's easy to give mass bad reports :)

Exactly I spent a good while in Georgia and the level of racism was surprising. I almost got pulled apart like a chicken wing for sitting in the wrong half of a bar.

You honestly think they are past all that there now, but it's very much alive and quick to get you killed.
