Raconteurs Album

Any of you had a listen to this? I'm pretty much a hardcore The White Stripes fan so I've been waiting for this for a long time! First few tracks seem OK.

Doesn't sound ANYTHING remotely like The White Stripes, bar the sort of "garage rock" feel.

Thoughts.

I love the white stripes (except they're newest album) but I havn't really been taken with this album.

The first time I heard them I immediately thought, "This sounds a lot like the White Stripes". To say they don't sound anything like them is not strictly true.

Agreed. First song i heard is still my favourite - Steady As She Goes.

Yeah it's not a bad song actually, not a fan of The White Stripes at all, but I've been humming this song ever since I heard it which must be a good sign.

I can't listen to Steady As She Goes without hearing Scooby Snacks. I'll reserve judgement on the rest of the album until I've heard it all though.

Steady As She Goes is more White Stripes-ish but it isn't a reflection of the Raconteur's album.

I hate The White Stripes but don't mind The Raconteurs.
From what I've heard of the album its pretty good.

Only song I've heard is Steady As She Goes, they keep playing it at Mayhem... I really quite like it though.

Sounds White Stripes-esque in my opinion, but I've only heard the one song.

Album has got good reviews though so might have to pick it up.
