deciding which size rad to get once i get my new case as im not sure what will fit

im thinking - will a decent 120 rad like this TFC model cool my cpu better than a cheaper 240 rad like the xspc
i understand that the bigger the rad the better heat dissipation

but i think this would fit better in either case i choose than a 240

also it is deeper and seems to have more tubes in it

what are your thoughts?

its going to be a cpu only loop

what difference will i see between the TFC i linked to and the thermochill one
if its only a few degrees then is it really worth it?

like i said its going to be a tight squeeze and may require some modding
im guessing a better quality 120 rad would be better than a cheapo 240 rad?
am i on the right track?

are there any reviews for radiators?

Must it go inside the case?

it kind of needs to as i have a daughter who comes to visit and is getting to the 'must be into everything' stage
and my brother is 11 and needs to know how everything works
i dont really want to mess with the outside aesthetics of the case

i dont plan on upgrading the watercooling to include gfx/nb or whatever so its just the cpu

my q6600 runs at 3.4ghz @ 68'c full load on a thermaltake v1 cooler so im hoping to be able to push for a bit more

the TFC exchanger rads are newer and supposed to be the thermochill killers

oh right - first i have heard
i have looked for reviews and it seems to me that the thermochill and tfc are on par - and that a 120 would be sufficiant for the job

If its just for your cpu then the TFC will do you fine.

yeah - thanks - thats good to know

Read some reviews & have a play with the flow rate estimator and radiator spreadheet estimators.

A 120 rad will cool your quad, but it might be warmer and require faster fans than with 2x120

thats good - i may mount it with a larger fan in my new case then
