I have a TFC 240 RAD with 4 Scythe 1900RPM fans in push/pull and my temps seem a bit high.
Im only cooling my CPU a Q9550 at 3.8Ghz Vcore 1.37V and my temps are idle 40ish upto 60 under load (prime or OCCT) so a 20C delta.

So should i be running in push/pull?
should i get rid of the push and fit some shrouds?
do i need better fans? Kazes?
is it better to be blowing out from my case or sucking in ( i have a CM stacker 832 and im pushing out through the drive bays)

(can post pics of set up if needed :))

*i have posted on FESER USA website forum but still no answer :(

U sure the block is seated correctly? Those fans are some of the best you can get so i would put it down to something else. Have you tried push harder to see if temps rise much more?

I would say your fans are fine, and sucking the warm air from the case over the rad will not make a major diference to temps, few degrees

Is the CPU block mounted properly with good contact between cpu and block? My cpu was concave and when I lapped it knocked 10c off my temps!

Is the system fully bleed of air? Or is your rad half full of air so not working as well as it could? Slim chance of this as would expect loads of bubbles but still worth checking.

Have you a kink or something restricting your loop?

Is your pump working?! Silly question but all should be checked.

i will remount the CPU block but it was a new dtek fuzion 2 so i didnt lap it....it looked mirror.
just taken the front bay mesh off so the fans have a direct route to the outside and it seems i was getting some sort of blow back of hot air that was going back through the RAD....will investigate more :)
oh and the pump is working and RAD bled, no kinks...

ambients about 28 so getting on my normal cores about 10C extra at idle and 30 under load....?

update.
refitted my cpu block and no change.
refitted my RAD and fans so they are sucking in air from outside rather than inside and got a drop of 5C with fans running at a much lower speed.
idle temps low 30s and load temps max of 50C while playing games (GTA4)and high 50s when running prime.
Its seems direction of airflow has made a vast improvement.

i suppose its all down to experimenting..as im a noob have been relying on other peoples experience but your better off trying things out for your self in the long run every set-up is different..hehe now just waiting on my new pump so i can fit a fill port :)
