I'm after a triple rad for the front of a u2 ufo, am I right in thinking only thermochill have 25mm spacing or do I have any other options?

Even Thermochill only has the standard 15mm spacing now. They changed over years ago. If you want a rad to fit that case you are going to have to hunt around for a second hand one. There was one in the MM a couple of weeks ago with 25mm spacing. Not sure if it sold or not.

***Edit*** I am not even sure if Thermochill is still around. I can't find any of their rads in stock anywhere.

Tbh the easiest option might be to purchase replacement panels from Mountain Mods with 15mm spacing. Not ideal I know but in the long run it should make life easier.

OR that extra 10mm of space should allow you to string multiple 120.1 radiators together ;)

The three single rads sounds quite fun :p

What size you after. We have some TC's lying around i think.

A triple :)

They closed down a couple of years ago, IIRC it was a family run business and the patriarch passed away, it catches most people out as you don't expect the market leaders to currently close shop.

My PA120.3 and PA160.1 are still going strong laughing at my 4930K and SLI 970's :D

@ubersonic One second "Steve .... STEVE" you died according to this statement above .... Nope hes still alive ....

Steve my business partner in Mayhems used to own Thermochill and the company was sold to XSPC current owner. i wont say much more than that.

Steve is going to see if there are any 300+ mm ones left for you.

@reiyushin Just spoke to steve hes going to look for you but he thinks hes given the last one away a few months back.

Really? lol, guess that was just an internet rumour then, good to hear :)

Slightly OT, any chance you could ask Steve if he knows why Bitspower G3/8 fittings don't work with Thermochill or Dtek G3/8 products? Thermochill and EK ones are fine but Bitspower fittings just fall into the hole, they are adamant their fittings are G3/8 though, what are they doing wrong? lol.

Hahaha, glad to hear he's still alive! And thanks, appreciate the help, they're proving tricky to track down :)

Sorry to say there are none left they have all been given away. I have a 240 and 360 but they are used as base marks for our own rads so cannot be given away sorry.

Ill fire a message over to the manufacturer tomorrow and see if they have any left. There inst much more i can after that.

As for the fittings you need to speak to BP.

Thanks a lot :)

There's one for sale on the bay that looks like the 25mm fan spacing version. He is asking too much for it though.

I'd enquired about that one he said it's 15mm so looks like he's using the wrong picture!

A crazy idea has formed in my head, your problem is actually very easy to fix if you are willing to do a slight mod/bodge.

Thermochill rads were designed to be used with shrouds. Now the 15mm spaced PA120.3 is 20mm shorter in length than the 25mm spaced PA120.3 (obviously) however the is nothing major to stop you getting a 25mm spaced shroud and fixing it to a 15mm spaced PA120.3 so that it can be mounted in your case.

The issues to overcome are that the ends of the shroud would overhand the rad area by 10mm each side, you have two choices here, firstly assuming this isn't an issue for the ports you can stuff some polystyrene in the gap or cover it with duct tape or improvise. Secondly you could re-drill the screw holes in the shroud so it lines up on the end near the ports and overhangs the other end by 20mm, then fix that as above.

I think Ubersonic is on to something there. It should be easy enough to make up a shroud from scratch that tapers from the 25mm spacing on the case down to the 15mm spacing of the rad. It could be made to fit any make of rad too. Draw up a cardboard template and then copy it onto a piece of sheet metal then cut and bend to shape.

That works too, for reference the Thermochill rads have a reinforced section on the sides that overhang the radiator core itself and have threaded holes in specifically for mounting shrouds (the rads came with them).

For ref the stock shrouds connect to the rads like so:

And before anyone asks I ditched the SilenX fans a couple of years ago :P
