Rad noise problem

My rad is mounted on the back of my case and it transmits vibrations which get enhanced by the aluminium and it kills my nerves
Any chance of finding rubber screws strong enough to hold a 2 fan ran? Its the one that comes with the Apex ultra kit. Any other idea of mounting the rad? It has to be outside. Also would you recommend those electric chillers which are fanless? thanks

Try putting a bead of silicon between the rad mount and the rad. That should eliminate any vibration.

Chillers for pc's are a complete waste of time and money. They are noisey (based on a fridge) and very expensive. For the same money you could get phase cooling.

Sunbeam make some exceptionally strong, long, double headed rubber screws. I can't suggest anywhere to buy them though. AFAIK OcUK don't stock them.

Also is there any decent fanless radiator which uses power?
Yeah right, a wonderful, magical radiator

No idea what you mean. Plain water is fine for all but the greatest loads. What are you cooling and at what clocks?

This is almost what I do. Imount the fans to the rad with silicone (and do the same for the case fans). It makes a huge difference :)

If you mean a passive radiator (no fans) with a pump then the Zalman Reserator 1 and 2 are both decent for a lightly loaded system and the Alphacool Cape Cora 10 can be paired up with a good Laing pump to give excellent results with a greater heat load.

My system is an overclocked p805 to 4ghz. The D5 pump is quiet enough.
Only the fans in the radiator are audible. PSU will change soon with a fanless one ;)
