Rad Weld. Is this stuff really not recomended?

I just found out from my Girlfriend that someone put radweld in her radiator awhile back.

Im pretty sure ive heard you dont want to touch the stuff so im asking on here to confirm if she should get it removed some how?

If so how do you get rid of it? Will Radiator need to be flushed?

Nothing wrong with it at all for a cheap fix. A friend used some on his CRF250 race bike, and the rads in those work ****ing hard, and that held up fine.

I would rather buy a new rad than use it, although we did use it on my old R5 and it worked a treat, i just worries it got itself stuck in places other than where it was supposed to be!

Got no problems with radweld, use it often on our generator sets at work, and used some last week infact on another. As long as you put it in the top of the radiator itself it should be alright, anywhere else may get clogged up with it.

Its meant to be good stuff, but if its not a hassle then you can usually get top quality replacement radiators for £10-20 down most scrap yards

Personally I would always look to replace a leaking radiator rather than choose an additive to seal the block. Perfect as a temporary fix though!
