Hey guys, have been trying to make an old card of mine work that has finally given up the ghost, tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers etc and all basic stuff, but basically, it runs around 60C idling, I've tried reapplying heatsink and paste a few times to no avail, and it only gets down to about 45C with fan forced to 100% with msi afterburner, and also, the second I try and load a game, WoW for example, the graphics instantly break up into squares and random patterns and the game freezes and crashes, is it worth reflowing it with no clean flux/heatgun?

Thanks in advanced, Jamie

to be honest pal i would say that the card is probably finished.
you could try reflowing it and see but i highly doubt that will solve your problem.

looks like upgrade time ;) haha

Oh it's only on my second gaming rig :P it still needs an upgrade, my second rig isn't bad, got a nice 955BE @ 4.3ghz and 4GB Xms3 @1600mhz, just couldn't afford a graphics card at the time ;P before it died it used to handle WoW on high just fine, and I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment :P
