I was installing a new CPU fan today, slipped with the screwdriver and knocked one of the tiny little chips things and it came of the GFX card, and fell into the case. I cannot find it to save my life. Everything seems to be working fine.
Should I be worried about this?

Cheers

Good stuff, fingers crossed! Years back I had a GeForce 4200 ti which burned and melted all over the back of the card. Looked like an arsonist had been to work on it. I didn't see (or smell) it happen but it worked perfectly for the rest of it's life... 3 years + :D

I played Quake 4 for a while and it all seemed fine..
I'm guessing it was a transistor, would that make a differeence?

Is there any program i can use to check its working as it should be?

I guess running a graphics benchmark and comparing with review sites. A few card comapnies would remover components from the reference design as a way to save money. Doesnt seem to hurt the card too badly but I guess it depends on what they remove. You may be lucky.
