Radeon 5850 overclocking problems

Stable game play in Assassin's Creed 2 at 840 core 1120 mem. I did have to manually set the fan to 60%, first time i tried it fan was set to auto and it crashed in the fight sequence at the very start of the game. Also crashed half way round my first lap in F1 2010 with this too. Still stock voltage of 1.16 so I'm wondering if my problem all along has been heat? Fans were set to auto yesterday as well. I have a coolermaster case, can't remember the model but it's a couple of years old, with just one 120mm fan below the psu. Side is currently off to see if that makes any difference.

Elrasho - I assume by mm you mean member's market? I'm probably being blind but I can't find that.
koooowweeee - how did you get on overclocking your card?
 
What is the max volts you can safely put through a 5850? Also is there a way of working out just how much of your PSU juice you are using? I have a 750w Antec PSU and just wanted to know if i could push my Asus 5850 a bit further. Currently running 810/1000 on stock volts
